A day in the life of Fred...the R.M. Hoffman Office Cat
My name is Fred. I’m pretty darn handsome, and I can win the heart of most anyone I want. I’m a long-haired tabby with a picture-perfect mix of white, brown and black fur.
My story started about 10 years ago, when I was just a young cute kitten and didn’t really understand the ways of the world. Back then, I actually thought that I had to listen to what humans said. I have since learned how to get exactly what I want, when I want it with just a look. As you will see, being so attractive, smart and clever has gotten me pretty far in life.
Have I told you yet that I’m a pretty awesome and attractive cat? In fact, sometimes it’s a real curse with humans always wanting attention from me. It’s not like I need to do much to be so attractive. I was just born this way… you know, the long silky hair, the alluring chick-magnet eyes, the lay-across-their-keyboard move so they can spend time closer to me. I like to give humans the chance to pet me. It makes their day.
I like to go in and out of the door throughout the day. Humans sometimes get lazy and spend too much time working, and not focusing on me. I like to help them by giving them more exercise. It’s a good way to get them out of their work stupor.
My main passions in life are sleeping and eating, with time worked in for some affection when I’m in the mood. I like to sleep in a lot of places. Some cats like to sleep in fancy cat beds. Not me. I prefer to sleep in the middle of the office, or next to a commonly traveled wall so everyone at R.M. Hoffman knows I’m there. There’s this shred box under a desk that was custom-designed just for me.
I hang out there a lot. One of my most comfortable positions is on my back, so everyone understands I am completely comfortable and in control of all things.
Often times, I sleep in one place and then spend my days somewhere else. I can’t tell you exactly where I sleep outside of R.M. Hoffman. But it’s warm and dry and they feed me. Of course, I do tell some humans (on an non disclosure agreement only basis) where I sleep, but unfortunately for you, you don’t have the NDA.
You might not be able to tell from my photo, but I do love to eat. In fact, I could pretty much eat all day and night, without stopping. For some reason, which I don’t understand, they only put dry food in my dish a few times a day. And although I’d prefer to not get up from my sleeping position, when they put food out, I’ve been known to sleepwalk over and lick the bowl clean.
