SJSU’s Tammy Nguyen Brings Social Skills, Gains Pragmatic Experience
By Peter Hoffman, Vice President of Sales and Marketing
For several months, R.M. Hoffman has benefited from the internship of Tammy Nguyen, a remarkable San Jose State University student who recently graduated with a Communications Studies Bachelor of the Arts degree. Tammy’s marketing internship has focused on the basics of marketing communications in our digitally-driven Internet era.
My own experience in the world of Silicon Valley technology companies led to our internship program. Internships are valuable for both the student and the company. It was a good day at R.M. Hoffman when Tammy applied for the internship.
Tammy melded her skills with our growing reliance on the Internet for marketing and sales. And sales are going up. By every measure – and in academic grading– Tammy earns a 4.0 in her job. At this writing, Tammy is continuing into the summer, and continues to be an important part of the R.M. Hoffman team.
To showcase her achievements, we suggested that Tammy document her experience in a totally appropriate way: with a self-edited YouTube interview. We think you’ll enjoy it. Take a look (~ 2.5 minutes). As Tammy says with emphasis, “I’ve learned a lot.” We have, too, Tammy, and we are grateful:
