Tolomatic B3S/M3S & B3W/M3W Electric Rodless Actuators

The B3S/M3S and B3W/M3W actuators are capable of accommodating heavy loads and handling high moment loads with consistent, smooth operation. The B3S/M3S and B3W/M3W are cost-effective alternatives to auxiliary rail systems.
Available in screw (B3S/M3S) or belt (B3W/M3W) driven models

- Multiple belt technologies available
- Polyurethane steel-cord reinforced HTD tooth profile belt (standard)
- Polyurethane Kevlar® reinforced HTD tooth profile belt
- Reliable sealing over the life of the actuator:
- Stainless steel dust bands will not expand like elastomer (non-metallic) bands
- IP44 protection for bearings and screw nut
- Formed end cap dust wipers keep contaminants from entering the actuator’s internal area
- Internal bumpers protect the screw and nut/belt and clamp assembly at end of stroke
- High thrust bearing assembly eliminates runout and isolates linear forces from drive shaft for screw drive models
- Multiple motor mounting configurations:
- In-line or reverse-parallel (1:1 or 2:1 belt drive) for screw drive
- Directly or with reduction drive option for belt drive
- Options:
- APF: Absolute Position Feedback (screw drive models)
- Linearity of ±0.005” (0.13 mm) up to 20” (508 mm) of stroke, ±0.025% of full stroke over 20” (508 mm) of stroke
- Repeatability <0.003” (0.08 mm)
- Linear displacement transducer (LDT) internally embedded into actuator extrusion, magnet embedded into carrier for protection and space savings
- Auxiliary carrier for increased rigidity, load capacity, and bending moments
- Dual 180° Carrier allows loads to be rotated 90° from the cylinder’s carrier, providing an additional load bearing surface (also available with auxiliary carrier)
- High efficiency, single stage planetary gearheads in 5.5:1 and 10:1 ratios, fits NEMA 23 and 34 face motors
- Mounting plates to provide clearance for motor and motor mount
