Torq/Gard Overload Clutches
Torq/Gard overload clutches help protect the entire drive train of your machinery from damage due to excessive torque generated by overloads and jamming. Instant reaction when torque exceeds preset limits provides protection far superior to that of clutches employing friction surfaces. All Torq/Gard clutches are designed with drilled and tapped mounting lugs to accommodate Browning single chain sprockets or gearbelt pulleys, without modification.

Solid Construction
Unlike friction clutches that are subject to torque variations caused by temperature, Torq/Gard clutch design maintains precise torque limits without significant heating loss, regardless of how often the clutch is tripped.
Instantaneous Response and Automatic Reset
When an overload occurs, the Torq/Gard instantaneously disengages at the precise torque it is set, every time. When the overload condition is corrected, the Torq/Gard is automatically reset by jogging the machine until the clutch reengages. This automatic reset capability requires no tools, minimizes down time, eliminates manual reset, and permits use in inaccessible locations.
Dependable
The spring loaded cam follower seated in a single hub cam detent causes the hub and clutch body to rotate as a unit. With the two-point contact of the cam follower in the detent, the effect of "breathing" as found in conventional clutches is minimized.
Infinitely Adjustable
Turning a single hex-socket head control adjusts the Torq/Gard clutch precisely to any setting within its load range.
