The RV Series is a family of planocentric reduction gear mechanisms designed for precise motion control. The mechanisms incorporate a large number of simultaneously engaged gear teeth, and have compact, lightweight and highly rigid construction that is strong against overloading. Furthermore, minimal backlash, rotary vibration and inertia assure rapid acceleration, smooth motion and extremely accurate positioning.

The RV Series reduction gears are ideally suited for precision mechanical control in factory robots, machine tools, and assembly and conveying equipment where precise positioning, stiffness and shock-load capability are demanded.

All RV Series gear reducers feature two stage reduction for reduced vibration and inertia, excellent starting efficiency, and low backlash.

Standard In-Line type.

RV-E models include integrated angular ball bearings for the support of external loads.

Output torque ratings up to 39,058 lb-in (9.24 Nm) at 15 rpm
Input capacities up to 9.24kW at 15 rpm
Allowable max output speeds up to 100 rpm continuous
Supports moments up to 78,115 lb-in (8,820 Nm)

RV-C Series

Hollow shaft type.

RV-C models include a hollow shaft structure and integrated angular ball bearings for the support of external loads. The hollow shaft design allows cables and other lines to pass through the unit to save space.

Output torque ratings up to 43,397 lb-in (4,900 Nm) at 15 rpm
Input capacities up to 10.26 kW at 15 rpm
Allowable max output speeds up to 80 rpm continuous
Supports moments up to 303,781 lb-in (34,300 Nm)
