Zero-Max Flexible Couplings & Keyless Bushings

Zero-Max has several product lines of shaft couplings, each designed to deliver long operational life while optimizing the function of the mechanism.
Flexible Couplings:
Composite Disc Couplings
- Available in single disc, double disc, stainless steel, and floating shaft models
- Single and double disk models available with aluminum clamp style hubs
- Operating temperature range of -70° to +250° F (- 57° to +121°C)
- Composite discs are resistant to many chemicals
- Hubs are machined to a high level of concentricity for smooth and quiet operation
- Maintenance free
- Ideal for high precision applications including packaging machines, pick and place systems, printing machinery, machine tools and most systems using servo motors
- RoHS compliant – manufactured of RoHS compliant materials and contains no banned substances
Servo Class Couplings
- Availabe in 11 sizes supporting bore diameters from 0.157” to 1.75” (4mm to 45mm) and torque ratings from 4.4 lb-in to 2,213 lb-in (0.5 Nm to 250 Nm)
- Available as single disc as well as double disc models for highest misalignment capacity
- Operating temperature range of -22° to +212°F (-30° to +100°C)
- Aluminum alloy hubs and center members for strength and durability, treated to prevent oxidation and preserve appearance
- Disc members are made of 304 stainless steel
- Couplings are precisely assembled using high strength, corrosion resistant fasteners
- Integral clamp style hubs provide fast, easy mounting
- RoHS compliant – manufactured of RoHS compliant materials and contain no banned substances
Schmidt Couplings
- Extremely low backlash
- Constant velocity
- Very compact
- Minimize or eliminate the effects of shaft misalignment and offset such as:
- Torsional or angular velocity vibrations which reduce system accuracy
- Excessive forces and heat on system bearings which reduce machine life
- Increased system vibration and noise

Keyless Shaft Bushings:
Zero-Max keyless shaft bushings are the ideal locking devices for shaft-to-hub connections. ETP Connections are ideal for positioning and locking shaft components in a system. They are the best solution where keyways and tapers can weaken or cause excess wear to the shaft components.
- Double-walled hardened steel sleeves filled with a pressure medium
- Screws actuate pistons to increase the pressure in the medium, causing the sleeve to expand uniformly against the shaft and hub
- Connect a shaft and hub without stress or wear by eliminating keyways, tapers, and tapped holes
- Shaft components mount more easily, more quickly, and more precisely to allow minimum downtime
- Radially and axially adjustable for increased precision and ease of use
- Keyless design saves space and material by eliminating the need to mill keyways, permitting the use of a smaller shaft

- ETP Classic and ETP Express have a temperature range of -22°F to +180°F and are available in stainless steel for selected sizes
- ETP Express and ETP Techno feature a single actuation screw for fast and frequent mounting/dismantling
- ETP Techno has a temperature range of -22°F to +230°F and has a runout accuracy of 0.0002”
Posi-Lok mechanical bushings are also available:
- Bolts actuate a mechanical locking wedge
- Nickel plated finish protects against salts, water, solvents, and corrosion
- Excellent axial and radial runout
- Inch sizes from 0.25” to 1.0”, metric sizes from 6mm to 35mm
- Transmittable torque up to 5,576 lb-in, allowable axial force up to 8,093 lbs
