Submerged Drive

Description

The challenge was to provide a cost effective solution to a unique drive located in a wet environment. The drive had to fit existing centers with same rotation direction and bolt up.

Nothing standard was available or could be adapted to do this job.

Concept was to utilize a timing belt, to replace costly lubricated gear system, along with single bearing system, light weight alloys, impervious coatings provided the customer with a stout, low cost solution.

This was a really neat and cost effective solution to an expensive problem.
